Interestingly, the new demand to fill out forms for students applying
for hakraat sheilon has generated the most heat although this
particular demand will save us time in the long run.

Currently, the number of students with hakraat sheilon is ridiculous,
and as we prepare CDs for all these students for all exams, the demand
on our time is tremendous. Once students have to get approval from an
outside committee, the number of students getting this accomodation
will drop dramatically, saving us a lot of work (and hopefully
students who shouldn't really  be getting this accomodation will not
receive it.

I have filled out such forms and I am happy that the committee relates
to my input and that things such as student's attendence, preparation
and effort have some impact. (why should a student who never comes or
who never does anything be given accomodations?) BTW, schools are
supposed to do such paper work even for level 1 and 2 accomodations,
but no one bothers with it.

This is not to say that I don't agree that our workload has become
impossible - but I think we need to fight to change other areas.
First, projects should be dropped!! Tons of work (and it is not
achieving its goal anyway...I don't have time to go into details.)
Drop book reports for 4 pointers... they don't read anyway, drop
another book report from 5 pointers (at least). Adding the log has
added a lot of assessment work to our workload, so the workload of
assessment in other areas needs to be lessened.
