In this case it would be considered a copyright infringement. In the past, there have been many articles in Haaretz of interest and of relevance to English teachers. And these articles were linked to in messages to the ETNI list. However, because of the new policy of Haaretz, where articles are only accessible through registration and subscription (we won't get into the nuances here of what this exactly entails), there is no longer any point of linking to their articles where the majority of people on the mailing list have no access to these articles. This is also true of other news services which require a subscription to read their articles. Fortunately, the majority of news services still provide free access to their articles.
