Manager, British Council

Online publishing sites (wikis, blogs, etc) make connecting, communicating
and collaborating easier than ever. In this session, we will be looking at
practical ideas to use wikis for collaborative writing projects. This
workshop is suitable for Junior High School and High School teachers.

· *Student Teacher Dialogue in the Spirit of Janusz Korzak. * Dr.
Avi Tsur, English Inspector for the Rural Sector

The Polish, Jewish pedagogue Janusz Korczak wrote about the importance of
dialogue between student and teacher nearly 100 years ago. His ideas and
legacy are as realistic today for educators, as they were then for Korczak.
Teacher student dialogue is one of the important ways to ensure success in
reaching out to our students so as to enable learning and teaching to take
place.

· *Using differentiated instruction to create conditions for diverse
populations.* Dr. Elana Cheshin, ELT University Publishing Projects

In order to progress in language skills, all learners in an EFL classroom
require "respectable" tasks that are suitable to their "readiness levels".
Strategies for differentiating instruction in a heterogeneous EFL classroom
will be shared.
