This week's program of "Shom'im Olam" on Radio Upper Galilee was an interview, mostly in English, with Upper Galilee translator and singer/songwriter Sharon Neeman. She wrote, among other songs, "I Think Of All The Children" which is an ode to English Teachers and to teachers everywhere . The song was sung by Laurie Orenstein during the "Great Teacher's Strike" a few years ago, as many of you will remember. The hour long interview consists of several of Sharon's songs, her anecdotes and thoughts on being a translator, an immigrant, a single mom and all of the trials, tribulations and joys we all know so well. Sharon has a new CD "5000 Words" which I can thoroughly recommend for chuckles and some good songs to enjoy and sing-a-long-to. You can order it at order5000words@xxxxxxxxx It is very reasonably priced. Sharon's story can be read here: http://www.more.com/4252/26315--5000-words-my-first-cd You can listen to the interview and songs here: www.tinyurl.com/radiouppergalilee Enjoy!
