[etni] Liar or not?

When I wrote about "doctoring" students grades, I'm not doctoring their oral
grade at all. I'm truly giving them the real assessment of their oral
ability, that is, their ability to communicate in English. I'm not giving
them a grade on a project that they probably didn't even do on their own,
nor am I giving them a grade on a speech or talk that they've learnt by
heart.
In other words, I'm not deluding myself and I'm truly assessing their
ability to speak. If this is what you call a liar, I'm proud to be called
one. And yes, I will listen to my union, however imperfect it may be. I
refuse to allow students to fail because of the ministry's stubborn stand
against the Irgun and we, the teachers are caught in the middle. I strongly
object to the threats against and intimidation of teachers and yes, many
teachers are frightened by these.

The Ministry of Education is in a sorry state and I wouldn't be too proud to
claim that I am one of its administrators. We mere teachers are the ones
who have to implement decisions of which we are often not consulted about.
