I must say that I am truly appalled by the recent messages on ETNI. Yes the system has its flaws, but i am willing to suffer through it all( low compensation, policy I may not agree with) until I am asked to compromise my values as an educator. I am this before I am anything else. Suggesting that I do as NIna has something that borders on dishonesty anyway you care to phrase it crosses the line. This is not why I entered the profession. I also don't allow my students to make up the rules for themselves and can see giving an oral mark the way you have suggested. You may object to following the ministry blindly, but it is equal to following the union blindly. No pay raise or change in policy could ever make me do anything that I wouldn't allow my students to. We have a responsibility to our future citizens and must remain role models we can be proud of.
