Dear Colleagues,
Mitzi Geffen and I are determined to get people doing drama in their English
classrooms. Therefore, we are giving 4 (count 'em - FOUR) sessions at ETAI on
Tuesday, which are modular (sort of like the Bagrut ;) and together make up a
mini course. You do not have to take all of them, you can choose to go to one
or 2, but to get the full benefit, you really should "collect 'em all". I have
been asked to write about this to the list in order to clarify any
uncertainties.

The first one is "Whose Line is it Anyway? Improvisation in EFL Classroom" from
9:30 - 10:10 and will let you experience using theatre games in the classroom,
which can be done on their own or as part of a drama course you are doing with
the kids (when putting on a play in English). I gave the session last summer,
and due to popular demand am doing it again.

The second one is listed as"An Adventure in Drama - Take One" given by Mitzi
(in fact, it should be called "take Two", since the earlier Improvisation
session was "Take One" ) from 11:50 - 12:50, where you will receive theoretical
background - the ins and outs of putting on a play in English in school.

The third one, to be run jointly by Mitzi and myself, will actually have
participants putting on a performance, using a script, staging, song, dance,
the works (for all of you closet hams - this is your big chance!) That will be
from 15:15 - 16:45.

The fourth and final session in this mini course will take those of you who
participated in the third part and perform it for our ETAI colleagues'
entertainment! We are REALLY excited about this and hope you will be, too!

So, we look forward to seeing all of you at the conference, (and discovering
some more closet thespians) in Jerusalem! Tell your non-connected colleagues
who might be interested and are not on the ETNI list (for any uncomproehnsible
reasons) andjoin us in the fun! (A good time WILL be had by all!)

As ever,
Adele and Mitzi
