I was astounded to hear that Renee's school actually has decent accommodations for all those hours the teachers are obligated to hang around the school. So there may be a few schools like that - probably good for a photo op for MOE or Irgun functionaries to try to show the world the "success "and feasibility of these reforms. Not unlike the practices of various totalitarian regimes who take photo ops of their ' happy ' citizens with cultural opportunities ... I myself have seen teachers rooms in 5 schools in the Negev over these past 12 months. Not one has proper accommodations for the number of working teachers who should be should be doing their shaot /shehiya etc Example: 50 teachers. 2 computers. Zero printers. One noisy room 4 tables with no divisions . Example : 140 teachers. I large noisy room. No carrels. 5 computers (not bad) and 1.5-2 working printers. Example. 110 teachers. 2 rooms. 8 tables. 3 computers. No carrels or subdivisions .1 printer not connected to computers... I believe that is the real world and representative. Not Renee's school. What say you, English teachers in the various reforms? ************************************** ** Join ETNI on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/31737970668/ ** ETNI Blog and Poll http://ask-etni.blogspot.co.il/ ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org ** post to ETNI List - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** help - ask@xxxxxxxx ***************************************
