*" Jerusalem in Maps"*
*"Jerusalem in Maps"* *is a traveling exhibition/lecture in several
languages of the history of maps and mapmaking from the earliest map to
planning maps for the year 2021.  The earliest map dates from the year 582
C.E.  It is a Byzantine mosaic map of the Old City and was discovered in
the late 19th century by British explorers in the township of Madaba, in
the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.  In Aramaic this is know as Meidvah.  The
history of Jerusalem is contained in this eclectic collection of
non-originals, all of which have been given special permission to display,
enabling the widest exposure of the images.  *

*Benjie Tal'or, the Secretary General of -  "Jerusalem in Maps- from Madaba
to 2021," -  is the lecturer in local languages of this travelling
exhibition.  After a 30 year parallel career as Land Surveyor/ Troubandour
which carried him through some 40 countries, an NGO was set up. At the same
time, Benjie was a teacher of English in a wide variety of framewowrks and
was a pioneer of Teaching of English through Music.  *
