This is a last reminder - and encouragement!! - to anyone who is interested in attending the TESOL Convention - March 23 - 26, 2010 - or interested in becoming an active TESOL member. Each year , TESOL awards funding to all sorts of teachers --new, young, just qualified, experienced, back to studying, well known/revered in his/her region, excellent at materials writing, good leader,Action Researcher,,,,,,, - to name some. awards can amount to the whole cost of attending the Convention, travel and all. Others cover travel , or registration. Nothing ventured, dear colleagues, nothing gained. You Do need, for some, letters of recommendation, or details of work you have done, but it is not arduous to prepare you submission. and for some you need to be a member. Check the details carefully. Also, for TESOL members, or friends of TESOL members, there is a Resource Center, with many of the previously given workshops and lesson ideas (from past Conventions., too) featured. Take a look.
