First, I would like to thank the organizers of the ETAI conference for a
stimulating 2 days. I appreciate how much work went into it. Yes, as others
have said, the venue was not ideal. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the quality
presentations, the enthusiastic reps of the British Council, afternoon tea
with cucumber sandwiches (and our mug), the Ambassador's Speech, a colourful
book fair and the chance to mingle with old acquaintances. The final session,
the Pecha Kucha, was brilliant and all the presenters outdid each other in
originality and humour.
Secondly, does anyone know where I can obtain multiple copies of "The Giver",
possibly for free or secondhand? I remember years ago that the book was being
distributed for free, but I don't know by whom.
