Dear Carol at Wolff Media,
I have never read The Wave, but I've heard about it for decades. It's like
a teacher
who wants to show his students how Nazism -- or any fanatic mass movement
arises, nahon?
1 Can you get your students to stand up in a semi circle and do a wave?
Where they sit down and stand back up in turn so it looks like a wave?
Maybe each student says something as he/ she moves.
This wave: ripples thru the line of students, needs everyone's
participation, and puts them at your control.
A great opening activity. Done well it has great power.
OR: 2 Rise of Nazis Puzzle: Kids have to put in order events showing
Hitler's rise to power.
3 Show movies of Tsunami. Make a list of what Tsunami and Nazis have in
common.
