I don't understand where the conflicting answers come from.
I think it is unethical, and I am almost sure there is something, somewhere,
saying we are not allowed to teach students we teach or even students who
attend the school we teach.
Moreover, how would you be able to give tests, mark them and grade your
student if you are the one tutoring him? Isn't it a "bit" problematic?

I had also written to Bari that was unethical. In fact, I think it's
unethical to tutor a student who goes to your school, even if you are not
his/her teacher.

It's completely unethical. However, I know that many teachers do this.

I don't know if there is an actual rule about this, but in my opinion, it
would be very inappropriate, unless, of course, you tutor the student for
free (which I assume is not what you meant).
