I would like to draw your attention to a new resource for global education,
'The World Education Database'. at http://www.world-education-database.org .
This resource is designed to help educators disseminate information and
projects across a country, region or even globally. Full details of
appropriate users and usages can be seen on the About page on the site
http://www.world-education-database.org/About.htm PLEASE NOTE The database
is ONLY available for educators who satisfy the terms of usage.

EXPANDING THE DATABASE

Currently the database comprises just over 206,000 schools in 158 countries
and Education Authorities in 147 countries. We would very much appreciate
your help in expanding the database further: With additional:
1. Schools (all levels)
2. Adult and Lifelong learning institutions
3. Language schools
4. Educational Internet portals

Details requested are:

Name of Institution, Address, Phone, Fax, Email, Web site, Level (Preschool,
Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Other), Leader/Principle - Details were
appropriate

KINDERSITE TEAM

The Kindersite Project team complete projects within education. These are
currently funded by the European Union,  Accenture and private donations.
Our role is to communicate and disseminate over the Internet. Examples of
projects include:

Learning at Europe - Hypermedia Open Centre, Polytechnic of Milan
(http://www.learningateurope.net/)
Child Ict Pages (ChiPs) - Socrates Action, European Union
(http://www.chipsproject.org)
Kindersite Project - Global (http://www.kindersite.org/)

Additional projects in Minor languages, Adult learning, ICT use by Senior
Citizens, Autonomous Learning, Violence in Schools etc are currently being
prepared.

ABOUT THE KINDERSITE

The Kindersite Project is a global project that offers a resource in two
fields:

1.The introduction of technology to young children
2.The introduction of English to students

Currently the project is being used by over 6,500 schools in 123 countries.
You are welcome to introduce the Kindersite http://www.kindersite.org to
schools in your jurisdiction.
