**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org **** The conference this year was so inspiring and rejuvenating for me. I almost regret being on Sabbatical next year. I am so thankful to the ETAI committee and all the other volunteers who went into making this such a memorable experience. As some others have mentioned, apart from some excellent sessions, it is the feeling of camaraderie and establishing new contacts, professional and personal, that make the conference so special. One session that I would like to mention, however, was that given by Judy Yaron and Dorit telor-Reize on how learning about and appreciating the history of EFL in Isreal is a very meaningful part of their students' first year of study in the college. I was quite fascinated by this whole concept, but what particularly moved me at the session was a power point presentation that the students had made on the topic. For the older members of the audience it must have been awfully nostalgic, but what really struck home was the extent of our professional growth and development as English teachers over the past 25+ years. So much has changed in the field of educational theory and research and it seems that we have welcomed these opportunities for change and progress which has made this profession such a dynamic and exciting one to be in. It was a shame that so few people were there. Maybe it could be shown at the next conference as the opening to a plenary or something. You'd really get a kick out of it! Thanks again Dorit and Judy, Lindsey ##### To send a message to the ETNI list email: etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ##### ##### Send queries and questions to: ask@xxxxxxxx #####
