Dear All,
For the past year and a half I have had the honor and the privilege of
being the literature counselor for Yousef Dagash. Even though he was
already ill when I started working for him, his knowledge and talent stood
out. As I got to know him I discovered another side.
He was sensitive, caring and brilliant. The last time I met with him
he pulled out a hand-written simple spiral notebook and asked me to read.
Inside the notebook was a magnificent collection of poetry that he wrote.
He asked me what I thought and I was so stunned that I had trouble
expressing my thoughts.
I sit now, at my computer, remembering the inspector, teacher, scholar
and poet who touched my life forever.
May Manal and their children know no more sorrow.
Shabbat Shalom,
Francine

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he
hears a different drummer.
.Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away
