Subject: [etni] writing - in hebrew and/or english
Unfortunately it's very true that Israeli kids aren't taught Hebrew properly.
One of the reasons is that the subject is divided into sub-subjects, grammar
(lashon,) composition (hab'ah/chibur) and literature (sifrut.)
This seriously disables their foreign language study, English being the major
barometer.
