Subject: Looking for a Hanukka Story

Hi all- Tuesday, 20/11/07

I am looking for a wonderful story about Hanukka, written by
a daughter about her mother's immigrant experiences in America.

If I am not mistaken, many of the experiences described take place
on a faceless, anonymous subway. The mother gets lost in her new
country and someone with a big heart helps her find her way home.

As many of my adult students are immigrants to Israel themselves, I
think they would like it.

What is it called?
Where might I locate it?

(I saw it on the Internet a few years ago and used it
With Ethiopian high school girls, who connected to it immediately.)

TIA for any help you might provide in locating it! (When I find it, I plan
to make
A vocabulary list and questions which I will send to you.)

Margie
