Subject: the irgun and payment for LD hours...
as far as i remember, one of the points the irgun mentioned in the
reasons for the "itzumim" last year and the strike was that teachers
were not getting paid for the hours needed to test LD kids (oral
testing, making tapes etc.)
today the irgun put up a notice on their site "why we are striking" -
a reminder. but this point isn't mentioned there.
i sent a letter to Nurit Valenci from the irgun asking about this.
As English teachers, we spend more time with LD kids than other
teachers. (other subjects don't make tapes, have kids record answers
and so on)
I suggest other teachers write the irgun about this.
