[etni] how about considering the exam option

The longer I'm in this the more I see that the exam option is really doable.
I'm writing this to
urge my fellow teachers who are working themselves to the bone (and right
through into the marrow!) on the logs to consider
this option. Some of you have to handle an average of 30 logs in both 11th
and 12th grade. I'm also working very hard, believe me,
but at least I'm not running after 60 students, I don't have 60 logs to keep
track of, it's not my problem and I don't have to feel pressured to "give
in" in any way if the kids are absent and haven't done a class assignment,
and most important, their final bagrut result won't depend on me!
I give plenty of quizzes, exams, essays to ensure they know everything, I
teach as I please, introduce HOTS when and how I please, and "just" have to
worry that I have prepared them well enough. If students decide to take off
they know it'll affect their magen marks. I'm down to zero absenteeism -
it's never been like that before in 12th grade. So think about it: my
headache is not half as bad as yours.
