Hi Robin and all,

Saving the environment is definitely a timely topic.  Here are some
suggestions:
Set up recycling bins for the school with signs in English accompanied by
symbols
Any kind of gardening or planting can be done with instructions in English
accompanied by a visual demonstration. If you can plant a garden, mark the
plants with signs in English.
Songs: The Green Grass Grew All Around, Inch by Inch,  Wonderful World, They
Paved Paradise (put up a parking lot), Wavin' Flag,  We Are the World - I'm
sure there are many more
Stage a play about people who damage the environment and others who try to stop
them.

Good luck and have fun!
