[etni] new ETNI poll - grammar question

Hi all,

A recent query was sent to the ETNI list:

> I need help with the correct grammar of the following sentence as there

major hit album until the 1980s.

ETNI teachers quickly responded to this query, providing the grammatically 
correct sentence which they felt should be quite clear to everyone.

The only problem is, at least three different answers were sent in by 
English teachers - with the most responses being evenly divided between two 
different answers.

Therefore, I have decided to set up an ETNI poll, presenting you with the 
different answers sent in, and let you battle it out over the poll.
