Good morning, Regarding Judy's comment "I am less convinced of their importance on the actual exam as there only 2 HOTS questions and there are still alternative question options as far as I know." The questions we "train" our students to write are the HOTS questions and the BTC. The HOTS questions are worth 15 percent each, and this week, for the last time, the BTC is worth 30%. So, if the students haven't been taught the buzzwords or and the ins and outs of how to answer the questions according to the rubrics, their grade will plummet. That's where we're wasting time - memorizing bagrut - taking tactics. Some of my students will never forget All My Sons - they really got into it - but we've gone into overkill mode. But, hey, that's ok, they decided to take my 12th graders on a trip today so we don't take up more time reviewing than necessary...
