To answer Zahava's question (which was: ) I have a question regarding the oral bagrut grades. What happens if the pupils were tested in Yud Alef for the 4 point exam (and the grades have already been submitted to the testing department) and now in Yud Bet they wish to take the 5 points, do they have to be tested again orally on a 5 point level? As the code for both the 4 and 5 point exam is the same (016112), the school claims that there might be confusion after sending a new list of oral grades with the same code. The student does NOT retest the oral bagrut. The school does also NOT have to resend the grade - the grade is already "in the computer" for 016112. At worst, when the student gets his final computer print-out saying whether or not he is eligible for a bagrut certificate, he might not have a final grade listed for 5 points. This is because, when the student took the oral exam, the school wrote 016400 (4 pts) as the Sheilon Roshi (under the student's grade). This is easily fixed. When the school sends in the "Tofes Yaakov", they cancel the 016400 sheilon roshi and "open" 016500 (5 pts) as the sheilon roshi. Then the grade will be properly added up (assuming the student did E F and G as well as the oral.) It is also possible that this will be done automatically. BTW - I was told that when a student completes one level before another (like 4 points and afterward 5 points), the 5 point level is what is taken into account for the teudat bagrut unless the student decides to cancel the higher level (like, if he failed).
