Subject: Fw: [etni] Fw: suggestions for student websites

for 5 pt highschool -

"This site http://www.esl-lab.com/ has listening quizes that can help you
prepare for the E bagrut."

"In general, the site
http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/grammar/
is very good for grammar and spelling.
Specifically, see
http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/esl/eslphrasal.html for phrasal
verbs, and the spelling section.
http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/general/gl_transition.html for
connectors.
A good site for vocabulary (inc. suffixes and prefixes ) is
http://cctc.commnet.edu/grammar/vocabulary.htm. Don't forget that a lot of
the words are for the SAT level, which is more than what you need."

These are sites that I will put up on our school site. I would be glad to
get info for weaker students and also jr. high...

Hi. I've been asked to put together the English corner on our school's
website. I'd like to have links for sites appropriate for 7 - 12th grades
(from English speakers to "Lo Hevanti Kloom") so students can practice
their
language skills and reading comprehension. I'd appreciate personal
recommendations - what have you found that is user friendly and FREE? If
relevant, please list the suitability according to grade/level. Thanks.
