I just found an even easier way â?? for all documents and screens (including web pages). Go into the first document/page you want. Press the windows key (on the bottom left of the keyboard) and at the same time press the left arrow key. That page will now be in the left half of the page. Do the same for the other document/page, only press the right arrow key. Voila!! Two side by side pages. They can be a mixture of PDF, Word, Internet and so on. Great stuff! For any kids who have laptops, I encourage them to take their tests on the laptops. They are in the class with me. I tell them that I trust them not to be using any programs that are not allowed (Internet, etc.) and sit them close to me with their backs to me, (facing the wall) so I can see their screens at all times. They know that if they do anything "×?llegal" they will lost the privilege of testing this way and go back to using the discmen. Their problem how they get it. If the test I give them is NOT digital (which it always IS because I type them up - aside from Matkonot, which are pdf files) they type their answers on a separate wordfile. I show them how to split screen so they can see the pdf on half of the screen, and their word file on the other half (I encourage them to split screen anyway, even if the file is on word, so they can be on the page with the text at the same time that they are on the page with the answers. If they are doing it on a laptop, they can download "Read Please Free" or another text-to speech program, and then the text is highlighted as it would be on the actual computerized bagrut. The answers, here too, are typed into a separate word file. The word files are mailed to me at the end of the test. I make them delete them permanently from their computer and their out and then trash boxes. Doing it this way, in addition to the one or two practices we had with matach, brought them to the test feeling comfortable and secure with the procedures. They ALL agree that this is a real GIFT! That it really enables them to demonstrate their true abilities. Hope that helps!
