I believe the older book you are referring to is "The Complete Guide to
Composition" (ECB) by Linda Taharlev, which unfortunately is not sold anywhere
anymore. (If you know otherwise, please let me know).

"English Inside Out" by Jennifer Elmaliah (UPP) is a very good book, and it
also focuses on writing in a very clear and concise manner. The new UPP
catalogue has a book called "Impact" by Linda Taharlev, intended for 11th-12th
graders studying for the 4 points bagrut, and this book is said to also contain
"a thorough writing program" (however, I do not have this book, so I cannot
express my opinion on it).

There was once a series of books called "Take It Easy" by Sivana Carmi Amir
(UPP), and I believe that one of those books dealt with compositions. However,
regretfully, that series is not to be bought anywhere anymore. (Again, if
anyone knows otherwise, please let me know).

Best regards,
Hadas

never send an email without proof-reading it!!!

of course, that should have been 10/40 points in the writing.
and also - in line 3 :"ARE all right", not "all all right".

       sorry...
