As I said on Twitter, I recently got a first-gen pair and they are really not
what I was hoping for. Noise bleeding is terrible, especially in a car or on
the bus, and the connection drops if I put my phone in a pocket or even move my
body the wrong way. I can wear them for hours and I like the theory, but they
are not nearly as practical as the glowing reviews i've read would have led me
to believe. As one person put it: "it's more like waring two little
speakerphones on your head than using headphones", and that sums it up
perfectly. At a decent volume for me to hear over an engine, everyone around me
can clearly hear my entire phone conversation, or book, or whatever I'm
listening to, which is *not* what any sort of headphones should do. Please keep
us updated on your tests with the new units, as I hope I can swap these out for
something that works better instead of having to return them and find something
else. Thanks, and have fun at CES! You're so lucky to be able to go to that!
