[gps-talkusers] Bluetooth headsets for the BrailleNote

We have been over this topic before but appears some confusion remains. Let me
clarify again.

First, you cannot pair a Bluetooth headset with the BrailleNote directly. Its
Bluetooth connectivity does not support what is called "audio services."

Second, you pair the headset with the Bluetooth dongle, which in turn plugs
into the BrailleNote's audio jack.

Third, Some of the dongles come with the standard eighth inch mini plug and
some come with the slightly smaller plug that would plug into a cell phone. If
you get the smaller plug, you will need an adapter to make it fit into the
BrailleNote's jack.

Fourth, if you do use an adaptor, make sure you don't end up with a long set of
plugs sticking out of the BrailleNote or you may damage the jack if that set of
plugs get bumped. It is better if you use an adaptor that has a short cable in
it.

Sendero does not sell or support any of these devices but many of us use the
GNNet dongle and the details about it are listed under cool products on the
Sendero site.
