Although everyone may have their own priorities in terms of creating User POIs at a bus stop, it wouldn't hurt to have some uniformness to the information if you are going to share them with others.

If you download the transit User file, which may already be in your maps folder on your compact flash card, set your position to one of the cities that have comprehensive data like Portland, Charlotte, Madison or Austin. Then see how the information is laid out You will probably not know all the details like they display but you can at least put it in a similar order.

Up to you, I put bound in bus stop names.

Again, up to you. You may wish to put in the description if the bus
stop has a shelter.

2. Would their be any value in me uploading these poi to sendero

Why not. they would be included in the collective user poi for other
people to use.

Yes, if they are in user private and you send them to Sendero for
inclusion they will be discarded.

categories are not in separate folders. all of your user pois are in your
user.pdb file no matter what category you put them in.

Again, whatever information you include is up to you when creating your
POI. and no Once you press the command to create the user POI the
program grabs the lat/lon of where you are, you could take 10 minutes to
modify the details of the POI if needed.
