Hi All,
At the moment I'm doing a regular journey through a fairly built up area
of London, which gives me the chance to compare receivers, especially if
I've forgotten to charge one and have to use a reserve.
I have three generations of receiver, but the best one by a clear mile
is the Garmin Glo. It consistently places me correctly in relation to
points and streets that I know. It's also way quicker in acquiring a
signal. The older ones are surprisingly variable in comparison, and I
tremble to remember how much I trusted them in the past.
The problem is that the Garmin Glo has this hugely annoying on/off
button, so you never know whether it's been accidentally powered on, and
it's often lost charge. So, I see that on the Sendero website, there's
a recommendation for the GNS 2000, but I had an idea that this might not
pair with the Apex. Do I have that wrong? Is this the best current
receiver out there, or is there another current favourite that
definitely works with the Apex?
Best,
Peter
