Hi,
You could turn off the shake function if you will never use it.

The shake function announces the location screen each time you shake the device. It sounds like the shake function is being activated while you have the phone in your pocket.

The skae function says different things depending on the screen you are on. It might announce the distance to the turn on the route screen or the entire location screen when that screen is active.

Hello all,

I am a very happy user of the new Seeing Eye GPS. However, I would like to
decrease the verbosity of what I hear while walking around, particularly, the
announcements on current altitude, addresses, etc. How do I do this?
