To clarify, the Holux is a Bluetooth receiver which can only be used as a Bluetooth device. To the best of my knowledge there is not a serial receiver that is using the SIRF 3 chipset. The Earthmate serial receiver is using the chipset 2. There maybe other receivers out but Sendero is still using the Earthmate serial receiver. Maybe some one on the list has tried other receivers. Yes, there is another receiver that is out there, it just came out recently, it is called the Holux; it has many great features such as: a slide on/off switch, so one doesn't have to play the counting game; it also has better sensitivity, which makes it a lot better in terms of being able to get a fix; it also has a USB slot allowing you to charge the Holux via the USB cable connecting from the receiver to the BrailleNote; and it is smaller. Well, I hope you do go for the Holux and hope this was what you were rooking for. Kevin
