I will be at the Consumer Eleectronics Show again this year from January 4-9. I
get lots of promo emails in the run up to the show. I just saw one about a
gaming toothbrush from Weeenect. I thought the following would be of interest
to GPS folks. I will check it out in person.

Weenect Kids was released in March 2013 in France ($99).
A forerunner in the field of child GPS tracking, the product was touted by the
press and parents. It has an extremly accurate live tracking function as well
as geofences in/out alerts. It even has a SOS button for children to call their
parents if needed.
This little GPS (2,5in. and 2oz.) has a great 7 days battery life (while
sending a position every minute) and comes with a water resistant pouch which
can resist any child activity. The product will be launched outside France in
February 2015 via Kickstarter.

waterproof (IP67) and dogproof. It has an extremly accurate live tracking
function as well as geofences in/out alerts to prevent pets from running away.
It is lightweight (1,5oz.) and compact (1,5in.) and has a 7 days battery
life.The product is developed in partnership with SFR (French Telecom : 20
millions customers) and will be launched ($129) in February 2015 via
Kickstarter.

Weenect solution is multi-platforms (smartphone, tablet and computer) and gives
multi-notifications (push, email and SMS) in order to adapt to families’ every

Additional background information
The company's founders, Adrien Harmel and Ferdinand Rousseau, met in school at
age 5 and have been inseparable ever since. Some 20 years later, at a family
lunch, their mothers laughed about their childhood days and how they made them
worry. The idea of a child GPS tracker was born: after more than a year of
research and development, Weenect Kids was released in France in March 2013.
Bénédicte de Villemeur-Vieille, a mother of four children, joined the adventure
a few months later, convinced that Weenect could revolutionize families'
day-to-day lives. This was accomplished in 2015 with numerous french prizes
awarded, the launch of Weenect Pets and international expansion.
Since its starts Weenect has sold 2 000 units in France, mainly on the web. In
2015 it will be entering the major french retailers such as FNAC and Apple
Premium retailers. The company will attend Las Vegas 2015 CES looking for
