My theory about POIs is that too many points is better than not enough.
There is certainly some junk with Foursquare. Some people even mark moving
things like a train but the POI usually does say it is moving.

 

How Foursquare handles things is a bit of a mystery. It would be interesting
to see some published guidelines but they probably don't make this public
for a reason.

 

I am always amazed how quickly new businesses show up and old ones go away.

 

I got what they call super user status but I am not 100% sure what that buys
me. I do fix locations and add places from time to time and those changes
seem to happen  quickly.
