Hi Don, I have KS7.5 build 20 and GPS 4.02. I have some problems acquiring sattelites well what I mean by this, is that it can take quite a while to acquire them. I also have some connect issues like I checked the connectivity settings and had the Holux receiver paired and active, then when I launched the GPS program, it said that the receiver was not connected. I did a reset and it came back. Anyway there are still some issues to deal with. I think it really won't improve until HW goes to Windows CE 6 which does a better job with bluetooth. Hey, you still active on ham raidio? If so when and where? You can contact me off list if you want. I am not too active, only on VHF and UHF with a handheld and occasionally on echo link. 73's, Jim WA6EKS

Hi Peggy,

Gps works fine with ks 7.5 so no worries about that. Also, be sure you upgrade to gps 4.02 patch as it does correct and improve things a bit over 4.0.

Hi, all. I've been a bit "out of the loop", because I was on vacation in August, where I discovered I had a problem with my modem, so had to send my mPower in for servicing when I got home, and just got it back today. So my mPower is still on Keysoft 7.2, and my GPS is still on 4.0. So I have some upgrading to do in the next few days. I've been kind of reading through messages on both the BrailleNote and GPS lists, just to see what kinds of problems and joys people have been having with the various upgrades. It seems to me I remember someone having a problem with their GPS after upgrading their BrailleNote to 7.5. I don't remember if it was not getting a fix, or if 7.5 wouldn't let them run GPS, or just what it was. Having been without GPS for two and a half weeks, I'm not wanting to do something to make it any longer. <grin> So can those of you who've upgraded your BrailleNotes to 7.5 let me know if you can still use GPS?

Thanks.

Peggy
