You might could add this as a "Scenic" route calculation--where it avoids freeways, and takes a straight approach--I know some car drivers prefer to avoid the congested roads, too. Essentially, you only add a few miles to your original route--but it may take a few extra minutes to travel. _____ From: gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gil Lutz Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 11:47 AM To: gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: GPS on a bike Mike, Very cool. I'm working on a new mount for the PK that mounts very easily on the top of the handlebars and the stem. It also will allow putting the mount on the PK very easily with no tools. As soon as I have it "perfected" and tested I'll write up a description of how I did it so we can distribute it to anyone interested. I will love the new " bicycle" route calculation option. I've used the pedestrian option and as you know it's not perfect when on a bicycle. This reminded me not only of the fun of cycling but also of using the GPS along the way. etc....
