[gps-talkusers] GPS receiver set to none

Hello Everyone,
I am just getting started with my GPS and haven't had much instruction yet and
need some help getting started. When my GPS is loaded it states, "Sacreamento,
California" though I am not in that city.
Though my receiver is turned on (and charged up) and I have paired it up, it
tells me that it is in virtual mode. When I try to switch it to GPS, it tells
me that the function is not available when the receiver is set to none.
How do I get beyond this point to start trying to use the unit? Or, is it too
complicated and I will have to wait for my lesson in two weeks?
