Use the User POI function to set a specific location.
Geocoded addresses can often be incorrect because they represent the
theoretical location, which may not match the actual location. For example,
my address is 739, which should mean it is 39% of the way up the block when
in fact my address is 95% of the way up the block. Some data is corrected
for this and some is not.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] General GPS question on dropping a pin
First time poster.
This is a general GPS question.
On my IPhone I have used Apple Maps, Google Maps, Navigon and now I am
trying Seeing Eye.
None of these Apps seem to let me drop a pin on a specific GPS coordinate.
They always want to assign the pin to the nearest address or what it thinks
is the address.
For example, all the maps are wrong on my house location. They think my
house is 150 feet from where it actually is. I have many other examples.
Also, I find 50 feet accuracy to be dumb. It is the last 50 feet that gives
me the most trouble.
Am I doing something wrong. A coordinate seems like it would be the easiest
thing to do.
Also, Street addresses are no good for hiking.
Is there a better accessible app out there?
