Hi All,Last week I got to go up in a glider. What they didn't tell me was that I would actually get to fly it. It was dual control, so the pilot sat behind me and we both had identical controls. He explained what to do with the stick and the rudder, and how to manoeuvre the glider so as to catch thermals.
I took Sendero on the Apex, expecting to be a passenger. During the flight I was able to hear POI's and streets as we passed, although I couldn't really concentrate on that in all the excitement. I did get a replay though, and so can relive the flight, noticing when we hit eighty miles per hour, changed direction, picked up height and went over a thousand feet, or passed over different villages, a golf club and so-on.
As ever, Sendero added immeasurably to the enjoyment of the whole experience. Thanks guys.
