David, Yes, I very much agree with you on giving a great job to the Developers, Designers, Beta Testers and those in the peanut gallery. There are two things that we can't forget, that the Developers and Designers is one person, Charles LaPierre; it is always amazing to reflect on this as Charles LaPierre is playing the role that a group or team would in many other companies. The other thing that is worth mentioning is that the Alpha Testers also deserve a great thanks. Yes, I think that the biggest change in 5.0 were POIs and is apparent from POI Searches, hotkeys, different commands, limitation of loading large number of POIs, increase in size of POI files and many many features have grown from the change. Of course, it isn't all about POIs in 5.0, there are many other cool things like the ability to Create a Route from a GPS Replay file and many other great features. Not only are there all of the 53 state files for the USA to test, there are also other countries, such as Canada, Switzerland, Ireland, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Austria, which add to a total of 11 countries to test with who knows many maps and scenarios. There are many other issues that require testing, such as the ability to create, follow, save and load routes with all of the changes made to route format, routing engine and maps. So, there was no possible way that Sendero Group, Alpha Testers and Beta Testers could have tested every possible situation. The end-users will always find that pocket that isn't working properly as result of it not being tested. The great thing is that fixes will happen if they are reported and can happen instantley depending on the situation. I am sure that Sendero Group will make the next upgrade worth it! The upgrade from 3.5 to 4.0 was huge, then to 4.2 was good and 5.0 bblew it out of the waters. Hey, great job on 5.0 to everyone who made it possible! This includes the developers, designers, the beta team, and even those who talked about it and offered suggestions. I particularly enjoy the way the POIS are set up, and the ability to search in a specific direction. Also, the way information is laid out makes it much easier to look for specific details! BTW, I've done some beta testing with other products and I know that it's impossible to always catch everything, especially with fifty-three different maps. No way would I have the time to go to every map to see if things worked correctly, I think I'd concentrate on the big picture. The thing is, it was a quick and easy fix.. Again, great job, it's so nice that I'm wondering if I need to bother purchasing another SMA. smile. Dave Old soldiers never die. Young ones do.
