Hello, Denise,
I am going to return two Earthmates to the maker because both of them are defective. Did you read my message aboput three weeks ago? I hope those are isolated defectives.

Thank you. Can you tell me where I can get an Earthmate? I went to Best Buy
on Monday and they did not have any.

Denise,

I'm sending the response to both of your addresses since I don't know
which address you check the most. The reason that you are getting the
GPS receiver not detected message and then you get communication with
the receiver is because you probably have a broken interface cable
between your Braille Note and your receiver. Depending on which
receiver you have, the cables break very easily and I have had three of
them break when I used my Majellan Sportrack. I would suggest you
contact Sendero about getting a replacement cable, or get an Earthmate
which doesn't have the problem of the broken cables.
