By default LookAround is set to LookAround every 12 seconds.  If that
is too frequent enough you can change that setting the highest number
you can go is 300 seconds.

The distances are set depending on how fast you are going.  There is a
breakdown in the new manual that tells you approximate distances for
the speed.  

Also keep in mind, now you can tell the system to only announce pois
ahead of you or in a specific direction.
