1. When you set the address for the starting point of your route, set it as your virtual position (press v when you hear the prompt "define as: destination, poi, or virtual"") Now set the ending address like normal, but at that prompt, press d for destination. 2. If you switch out cards, you must keep the path intact or you will have to tell the gps where to look each time you switch cards. You can do something like a "maps" folder on all cards, so that the gps will always look for maps in the "maps" folder of the cf card and it will just load the new maps.

HTH.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [gps-talkusers] New question re: virtual routing

Hi, I need some help. I am going to Colorado in a few weeks. I
have loaded maps for CO. I live in PA. When I try to "look around" in CO, my virtual position is here in PA. What I want to do is set a destination from one point in Aspen to another point in Snowmass. I can't figure out how to make this happen without the route beginning from my home in PA or other POIs in PA. Can you help?
Also, I hope this is not a stupid question: I have 5 maps loaded
on the Compact Flash card provided with the mPower. I want to add additional maps. If I put maps on another CF card, must I make a new map folder to drop them into? In other words, can I have many maps loaded on many cards for travelling and if so, must the folder be labeled MAP or can I specify western Maps or something like that? We are driving from Colorado to Nevada, about 1000 miles, and I want to use the GPS while travelling.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you. BarbaraOn Sunday,

Hi,
if you purchase from Sendero you will get a custom case for the
m-1000 receiver.

If you have a custom Sendero case from a GPSlim 236 that case
will
work too. You may need to widen the hole where the switch is.

Hope this helps.

Pricing and purchasing details for the Mini Guide can be found on
the
Sendero Group website at: www.SenderoGroup.com/

The Holux M-1000 requires about 2 hours to fully charge and will
last about
20 hours per charge.
