Hi Beth,

The problem with these services is that they are meant for drivers.
Drivers are most concerned with how to get from point A to point B.
They do not need to be told exactly where they are, or what they're
passing by because they can see, thus they can read street and other
signs.  This is why mainstream wayfinding systems to not work for the
blind, because we need more detailed info than they provide.  This is
why systems like the ones discussed on this list were developed.
