Hi Dennis,

One thing to try is keep the bluetooth receiver on the same side of your body as the BrailleNote. Bluetooth signals has a hard time travelling through your body so the closer you can get the GPS receiver to the BrailleNote the better.

Help this helps.

Hi

I too have a problem with my GPS receiver often continually disconnecting. I'm using Sendero Ver 5,0 but the problem is not specific to this version. Receiver is a Hollux Slim240 bluetooth.

Sometimes it appears to disconnect then re-connect although the visual indicator doesn't always seem to reflect this. I get GPS status messages telling me to reconnect, then the state of the receiver, "connected" or "not connected", even if I have status messages turned off. For some reason it seems to happen more when I'm a pedestrian than when in a vehicle. I carry the receiver in a shirt pocket or in my coat on the side nearest the GPS. But moving the receiver around or shaking it violently doesn't seem to replicate the disconnects and when in my pocket it's only a few inches away from the Braillenote.

I have tried playing around with custom settings to no effect but perhaps I need more info.

Just to be complete, when pairing, I use authentication code 0000.

Any help welcomed as Support here in the UK couldn't suggest anything I've not tried, or do I need to update my receiver.
(smile).
Dennis.
