when you set your routes, are you using fastest or shortest?
I keep going back and forth. I think the default is fastest is that correct?

Hi All,

I am confident that in some situations Apple Maps might perform better than Seeing Eye GPS but I am going to tell you about a situation where the Seeing Eye GPS was the clear winner.

This past Saturday, my family decided to attend a concert at a park on a lake.

We got in the car and I did a search for the park with Seeing Eye GPS. My wife did a similar search on her iPhone using Apple Maps. Both devices found the desired destination and both created a route.

As we traveled, there were a few differences in the route and our son chose to follow the Apple Maps route. This route proceeded to take us past the road for the park and we got lost. While this was happening, the Seeing Eye GPS was trying to get us to make a turn that would put us back on route heading toward the park.

Eventually, my wife shutdown her Apple Maps route and we followed the Seeing Eye GPS directions which took us straight to our desired destination.

I must admit that this made me quite proud of this app. It was pretty cool.
