There has been no update for the app since that announcement, I'd expect one
in the next week or so.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Seeing eye GPS app for iPhone
Hi, does anyone know if the naming of your own POI's has been put into the
Seeing eye app yet? Mike said they was coming but have heard nothing else
about the feature. I am waiting for this to happen so I can get the app for
one month and try it out with the new feature of the naming your own POI's .
If I like it then I am going to just buy it right out. Thanks for any input
