Many thanks for your message in relation to the chat room. I will be from time to time looking in on the communications from your membership. As for myself, I am totally blind and have just acquired an Power Braillenote BT model and I am just at the beginning of the learning curve of mastering the device. I am particularly interested in the possibilities that stem from the GPS Navigation aspect of the Braillenote. I have a Guide Dog and we have a reasonable area of independent travel, but at This stage I can only imagine the possibilities of this type of portable navigation. As yet I do not have the Sensor or the software to use the Braillenote in this manner, hence me making enquiries as to the expertise of other people using their devices to get about in a satisfactory manner. The one thing that bothers me is the availability of Maps in Australia as I am led to believe that as far as this type of application is concerned, that Australia is still off the map. A friend of mine is considering purchasing the appropriate equipment for his Braillenote and has suggested that we both go into the venture together and create our own reference areas to share with others and thus collectively build up a library by sharing with people and groups such as yourselves. Keep up the good work and I will be watching in order to gain as much information as possible for my own self advancement.
