Hi Peggy,
Thanks for letting us know, there was a small bug in a recent map update which
caused the West Coast maps to always show as needing an update. This has been
resolved. It was due to a map update for Washington which was missing it's
POIs, and an earlier issue with California missing it's zipcode database.

If you do a F3 check for updates now it should no longer tell you that the west
coast maps are in need of an update. As for old maps sticking around, that can
sometimes happen and is a very old bug, but somewhat of a feature as well. If
you ever owned an old license for maps from a different country and didn't
purchase those maps again, we won't delete those old country maps which should
still work.

Thanks.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Very Interesting

Okay, something seems to be weird on my system. As I was manually updating my
GPS files, I was also checking for updates in Sendero Maps.
It told me there was an update to the West Coast Maps, so I selected it.
It went through its steps and told me it had been successfully installed, and I
clicked OK. Then, just for grins and giggles, I checked for updates again, and
it still showed there was an update for the West Coast Maps. I tried updating
numerous times, and it kept saying things had been installed and updated. At
one point I looked in my maps folder, and everything showed 2013. I manually
downloaded the 2015 files, deleted the 2013 stuff, and just for fun, clicked to
look for and install updates. It said there were updates, so I clicked again to
install; and although it said they had been installed, when I looked in my maps
folder on the PC, it was just as empty as it had been before. I wondered if it
was a glitch in the Sendero Maps software, or if perhaps I'd done something
wrong when I'd uninstalled and reinstalled it when
2015 came out. So I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and am still
getting the info that there's an update, even after choosing it and updating.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Peggy
